President Jacob Zuma says his recent remarks won't damage relations with Malawi. Zuma's comments have outraged many South African, and Africans who seek refugee in the country. He was speaking at an ANC manifesto forum at Wits University, while telling an audience why South Africans should pay e-tolls.
"We can't think like Africans, in Africa, generally. We are in Johannesburg, this is Johannesburg. It's not some national road in Malawi", said Zuma.
As always, Presidency spokeman Mac Maharaj described reportss as 'distorted'! "The remarks were made in the broader context of South Africa achieving more in the past 19 years of freedom and democracy. The words have regrettably been taken out of context and blown completely out of proportion", said Mac Maharaj. Really now...? President Zuma should just apologies.
