THE MALI'S HOME TURNED INTO POLITICAL BATTLEFIELD!!! Diepsloot tragedy turn Political.

Newly political parties, EFF AND Agang SA were in Diepsloot yesterday.  In the early hours of Thursday, both parties seize an opportunity to outshine and outcast one another, while the family is mourning the children.
Yonelisa and Zandile Mali, the two Toddlers.

The home of the two murdered toddlers in Diepsloot, north of Johannesburg has been turned into a political battlefield.  This comes after, the two sisters, Yonelisa and Zandile, age 3 and 2, were found dead in a public toilet on Tuesday, and they were raped.  The malicious perpetrators were upprehended yesterday.  The  four men, were taken in for questioning in connection with the murder of two toddlers, have been charge with two counts of murder, two counts of rape and one count of  abduction.  They will appear in Pretoria Magistrate Court, today.

In the early hours of today, A firth man, believed to be the prime suspect in connection with the death of two children in Diepsloot has been arrested by police. Meanwhile, the firth suspect will appear in Preotoria Magistrate Court on Monday 21, 2013.  An identity kit of the firth suspect was issued yesterday, to the  public in large.  The community of Alexandra, alerted the policice, wherefore the perpetrator was arrested in the early hours [0:01am] of today, Police have confirmed it.  Police were offering R100 000 reward for information of the whereabout of the prime suspect.  It is believe that, the 5th suspect is a South African citizen, hail from KZN [Kwazulu Natal], Durban.  And has been linked to the 5 year-old child murder that occurred last month.

Zandile and Yonelisa Mali, will be buried on Saturday 19.

Back to the battlefield: " I'm here as a mother, to support this family.  This is not about votes at all'', said Agang's Vanessa Hani.  On the other side, EFF members, wanted to be seen, have their say too.  They made their presence felt, slamming Agang SA as a party that knows nothing about plight of Diepsloot residence, and blamming the ANC[Africa National Congress] for poor living conditions in the area -source by enca.com-

"We are aware there are some mickey mouse parties that have come to this family.  Why does that granny not come here and build roads and houses with her millions instead of showing them off in the media?" said EFF Gauteng representative Patric Sindane.

The bereaved family:  "This fighting and arguing is really disturbing to us, as we are still mourning the children'', said Yonelisa's mother Thokozani Mali.

Awkward situation:  The newly parties are on the race, what kind of race is this...Mali's family have lost their children.  They are mourning the children.  Both political parties seek attention, they have failed already.  Disturbing as it is, why keep on blamming ANC?  Instead of creating solutions or come up with good [own] solutions.  For EFF to talk about Agang's Leader, It's diminutive of them... absolutely disrupt, disrespectful and zero inexcusable.

Though It's inevitable, It is wrong and distasteful.  Mickey Mouse parties? really who are mickey mouse parties...really?  EFF is among mickey mouse parties_  Show some empathy.

Be Calm

True Story:  A dear friend of mine shared the following story with me.  So I thought, why not blog the story and share it with you...my blogger friends, favourite people in the World.  Yes, I said that!  Hope you will learn something and be able to acknowledge the importance of  Calm.

While a man was polishing his new car, his six-year-old son picked up a stone and scratched line on the side of the car.  In anger, the man took the child's hand and hit it many times not realizing he was using a wrench.  By the time he realize that, it was too late.  He then, rushed his son to the hospital.  At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures.

When the child saw his fingers... with painful eyes he asked, Dad when will my fingers grow back?  The man was so hurt and speechless, he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times.  Devastated by his own actions.... sitting in front of the car that car, he looked at the scratches; the child had written, ''LOVE YOU DAD''.  The next day, he committed suicide.

Message:  Anger and love have no limits, choose the latter to have a beautiful loving life.  Things are to be used and people are to be loved.  But the problem in today's world is that, people are used and things are loved.  Watch your thoughts, they become words.  Watch your words, they become actions.  Watch your actions, they become habits, Watch your habits, they become character.  Watch your character, it becomes your destiny.

I am glad a friend forwarded this to me as a reminder.  God bless you.  If you don't pass this on nothing bad will happen, If you do, you might change someone's life.
Do you know the relationship between your two eyes?  They blink together, move together, cry together, see together and sleep together.  Even though they never see each other.  Friendships should be just like that!  Life is vanity without friends.  It's ''World Best Week''!

Who is your best friend?  Send this to all your good friends. Be Calm, be at peace with yourself.

And remember:  'Everything that happens is either a blessing, which is also a lesson.  Or a lesson, which is a blessing'

Dialog: We meet no ordinary people in our lives. If you give them a chance; everyone has something to offer.

Promoting Health and Social justice for vulnerable groups including, refugees in the communities through community dialog.  Tirisano Centre in Collaboration with CHS Community Engagement, UNISA and Multisectoral AIDS management Unit City of  Tshwane.

On October 09, 2013, I was invited to this initiative as a Journalist to participate in a dialog and learn as well.  Members coming from different organizations were flocked in a Chamber room, at the Municipal Offices of Atteridgeville in Pretoria.  We firstly introduced ourselves in order to begin a dialog. Thereafter, we selected into groups of  five people each in order to participate on various dialog forms on critical health and social problems in our communities such as;
  • Stigma and discrimination
  • Gender based violence
  • Alcohol and Drug abuse
  • Vulnerable groups like refugees and LBGTI's
Dialog Moderator:  Mr Kulubrehan Abraham and Mr Hamlet Lesele

There is a divine beauty in learning, just as there is human beauty in tolerance.  To learn means to accept the postulate that life did not begin at my birth.  Others have been there before me, and I walk in their footsteps. I am the sum total of their experience, their quests.  And so are you_ by Eliezer Wiesel_
As the dialog deepens, Eugene, an attendee in the group session explained that., post 1994/1996 there were some fears in the community of Atteridgeville surrounding stigma and discrimination.  A high rate of stigmatization, which led to isolation and neglect.  People were degraded, humiliated, labeled on various forms, which made it difficult to talk about HIV/AIDS related matters due to lack of education.  ''Things have changed now, people are informed but they ignorant to learn more about it", continued Eugene.

Families react differently towards diseases, especially HIV and Aids.  We  neglect our loved ones in fear of discrimination by the society, not realizing the pain and suffering one goes when sick.  The normality is that, families are the supporting structure when one is infected with a disease, whereas members of the community react differently.

Stigma and discrimination forms a barrier between culture, religion and reality.  A supportive structure should be created, which will enable people especially the older generation to learn and adjust to the times.  Furthermore, both houses [religion&culture] should play a significant role on the subject matter.  The house in large agree to disagree about different matters discussed above, but harshly opressed to intensify more education, and efffective communication which requires a good listening skill.

Alcohol and drug abuse in our community are the most challenging ones.  School drop-out, mostly cause by alcohol and drugs, particularly on boy child.  Rehabilitation Centres are there, but what happens when one comes out? ''It's unfortunately we don't attend this issues... they become vulnerable and go back to their bad habits", said Lucky Raseroka an attendee as well.

The state of our health institutions is unsatisfactory due to lack of care towards patients, poor management, proper training, maladministration and corruption.  The state runs out of  funds, facilities are not well cared for, therefore drug abusers are no longer caded.  Back to the street again, victimize  memebers of the community.  Yes, we have organizations who represent and attend this matters.  The problem is that, when you do not belong to a certain grooup/organization and you don't participate in the community meetings in order to acquire information... nothing will happen.

"We talk but don't reach an understanding, critical problems need to be addressed", said Kulubreh Abraham Project Coordinator from Unisa.  Certainly, commitees are formed, we attend meeting called by our councillors, but we fail to reach an understanding and find solutions to the problems.  "There must be a new strategic programmes, create new ones and engage more oftern to save and build a better nation", added Mr Abraham.

On the subject of rape and gender based violence, the problematic ones.  Gone are those days women look after children or stay home moms and take care of the houses.  Now, women pursue careers, become CEO's of new horizons and multitask es ever being before.  Most men fail to understand that!  These where domestic violance begins, disputes and abuse.  Men feel that, they are entittled to beat or abuse physically, emotionally and mentally.  Phenomenally speaking, our attitudes determines us of who we are, they implies positive or negative evaluation about someone. We need to get along, tolerate one another.

Rape is a problematic factor, no one wanted to talk about it, until a raise a question.  The upbringing of a child/person, fundamental rule at home.  Self worth, was the person loved or taught to love and respect him/herself first, how to behave around people and treate others with dignity and respect.

The Refugee matter was our last straw.  We were taught the differences between Immigration and Migration, the refugees too.  Halmet Lesele, a dialog moderator, initially informed us about Xenophobia_ known as Afrophobia[African Attacks], simply means a fear of or hatred towards the African brothers and sisters {Foreigners} who seek refuge in South Africa.  "We give them names, arguably saying they steal our jobs, businesses and women", explained Mr Lesele.

In 2008, the world witnessed large scale xenophobic violence aimed at foreign migrats, a period during which the hostility towards small scale  entrepreneurs became very clear.  Foreigners were accused of ''stealing work from locals" in a difficult ecomomic climate.  Somali small traders and entrepreneurs specially
were accused of udercutting the prices of locals and many of them were killed in the xenophobic attacks.

Xenophobia is a crime against huminity, slows down the economy; people are killed senselessly; skills from foreigners are lost.  A number of foreigners are in South Africa as asylum seekers due to wars and other socio-economic problems in their countries.  South Africa as a sovereign country has a responsibility to accomodate these foreigners.  However, ordinary citizens do not understand this.

The hope of Africa is in South Africa.  Whatever fails in South Africa, we send bad messeges to other countries especially in Europe.  Violence is giving a ''bad image'' about the beauty of South Africa, so lets unit and tolarate one another, said Abraham closing a dialog.

Remember people:  Each one teach one.

                                                    Mduduzi Gift Zwane -Raising Star
Born and raised in Atteridgeville, coming from a family of five, with three siblings Zwane had always wanted to appear on television.  He attended Bud-Mbelle and Phutaditshaba Primary School, thereafter went to Edward Phatudi High School where he obtained his matric in 2012.  On September 6, 2013, I sat with him at  GoWired  WiFi spot in Atteridgeville Municipal Offices to interview him.  I was interested to know more about his future plans, the challenges he met along the way and more about his role on Generations.

The drama series is based on Task Force, which tackles variety of corruption.  Fearless Walk Agency, a company he co-own with Gabriel Modiba [Founder&Co-owner] which started in 2003, helped he mature in acting industry.  In 2009, the company was registered under the influence of high rate of unemployment in the community and passion for casting agency.  Enthusiastic as ever, Zwane stayed focused and committed to his craft hoping to be acknowledged, to be recognized by someone.

Starting a business in not easy, especially coming from a poor background were there isn't a support structure and reliance.  Tough as it is, Gabriel Madiba, founder of Fearless Walk Agency, went all-out to assist Zwane's triumph.  When I asked him how he got this geek {feature part} on Generations? He vehemently said, ''I am a hustle, through Jays Artist''.  We met with Vusi, the manager of  Jays Artist  in order to get this opportunity.  Vusi, have seen me in one of the events show and got interested about my craft, thereafter gave me a call, explained Zwane.

Giving means extending one's love, with no conditions- no expectations and no boundaries.  Peace of mind occurs, therefore when we put all our attention into giving and have no desire to get anything from, or to change, another person.  The giving motivation leads to a sense of joy that is unrelated to time.   Gerald G Jampolsky -

During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to this struggle of African people, I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination.  I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and equal opportunities.  It is an ideal which I have hope to live for and achieve.  But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die-  Nelson Mandela at the opening of Rivonia Trial defense case on April 20, 1964.

Heritage Day

South African, let us be clear of what our public holidays symbolize to us.   We shouldn't contradict ourselve by changing names.   The government reduce heritage day to braai day.  It is about identity, whether you are African, Coloured, Indian, White etc the question is what is your Heritage and how do you celebrate it.   Since 1994, September 24 is known as Heritage Day and most South African citizens celebrate their different culture by wearing traditional clothes symbolizing our different culture.

Dancing, singing and show-casing types of food are some part of our Heritage Day.   Those are social cohesion among groups of people on religion, languages, adversity and diversity.  Braai day is for commercial reasons, who came up with it anyway?   Do we need a radical change in everything?   Our government does not consult us, whereas it is a government of the people for the peole by the people... ''A nation is judge by how it treates its people''.

Either way, against it or not, we should keep the legacy alive #KnowOurPublicHolidays do not be extreme about it .  Yes we are diversified but should not divert a thing!
